Feral.
Four plates · Mastered MMXXVI · Edition of XV
Four plates of Tsuni, a Bengal. The breed began as a cross between the house cat and the Asian leopard cat, and has been refined since, generation by generation, toward a written standard of how wild a domestic animal should look: the rosettes, the set of the ears, the line of the body in profile.
These are portraits made against that standard. Two plates keep its view — the approach, the full length. Two turn away from it.
Shot on Hasselblad X2D II. The wild is the coat. The light is the work.
